Measurement and Data Level B
- Mastery of Level A
- Comparing and Estimating Measurements
Students will be able to:- Measure objects using different units of measure, and compare
different lengths - Estimate lengths of objects using inches, feet, centimeters, andmeters
- Relate length and number lines through their understanding of addition
and subtraction - Measure units of time and accurately tell and write time
- Measure and estimate liquid volumes and mass using grams, kilograms, and liters
- Add, subtract, multiply, and divide when working with measurement word problems
- Measure objects using different units of measure, and compare
- Representing Data Visually
Students will be able to:- Create visual representations of data (picture, bar, and line graphs) and make comparisons between graphs
- Generate measurement data through measuring lengths with a ruler
- Represent measurements in a line plot
- Problem Solving with Measurement
Students will be able to:- Develop the skills necessary to solve problems involving perimeter and area in relation to measurement
- Solve basic real world problems involving perimeter, including missing length problems
